Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.
The Well's programs combine best practices in arts and wellness and are designed in partnership with those they serve.
Mindful Poetry Moments, incubated with The On Being Project, offers a chance to pause and reflect on poetry’s ability to encounter ourselves, the world, and the mystery of each other.
This special collaboration began as a way to provide young students an opportunity to encounter poetry in the course of a normal school day during National Poetry Month and has expanded to reach poetry lovers of all ages. This program is FREE to all schools, organizations, groups, and individuals.

During April for National Poetry Month, schools, individuals, organizations, and more will receive: Four weeks of poetry and educational content curated by nationally-known poets, including 20 audio and video journeys that showcase the selected poetry paired with guided listening exercises, along with weekly worksheets with writing prompts inspired by the curated poems, prompting participants to write new poetry.
We additionally offer four weekly Virtual Gatherings on Zoom where guests participate in poetry writing, sharing, and connection every Wednesday in April from 3-4 pm EST.
The poetry inspired by our educational content and Virtual Gatherings are then eligible for a free, open submission process for participants of all ages to submit their new poems for inclusion in the annual poetry anthology. In August, we host an annual hybrid book launch in Cincinnati for both local attendees and virtual participants globally to celebrate their publicatoin.
This content is free throughout the year.
