Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.
The Well's programs combine best practices in arts and wellness and are designed in partnership with those they serve. How do we create our programs? In partnership with others and especially those we serve.

In 2021, The Well partenered with Imagine Bella Academy of Excellence in Cleveland, Oh to provide Mindful Specials in their school days. Kara Pierson, a 2021 Mindful Music Moments voice and founding Wellspring Fellow, and Ayesha Drake-El, joined Imagine Bella Academy as the Mindful Educators for the 2021/22 school year.
LaToya Kent leading students in tree pose as part of her Mindful Movement residency!
Imagine Bella students responding with drawings to "Fiona's Lullaby," a new Mindful Music Field Recordings commision by Jennifer Howd and Ben Sloan.
Thanks to Imagine Bella’s Wellness Fund and an Ohio Arts Council ArtsPartnership grant toward our My True SELF (social emotional learning fun) program, Kara and Ayesha are in the school 3-days a week working with students in Mindful Specials to deepen their Social-Emotional Learning.
Kara has transformed a classroom space at Imagine Bella into "The Oasis Room." In this space, Kara offers a moment to regulate and calm in the school day through various mindfulness practices. She shares one of those practices, a simple breathing exercise she teaches, in this video for you to try!
Additionally, we are working with LaToya Kent to bring yoga and mindful movement into the classroom! During January and February, LaToya is working with students at Imagine Bella and the Boys and Girls Club of NE Ohio. As well as creating short movement videos that include music from The Cleveland Orchestra! LaToya's residency is supported by The Cleveland Orchestra.
My True SELF is made possible thanks to the Ohio Arts Council.
