Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.
The Well's programs combine best practices in arts and wellness and are designed in partnership with those they serve.

Evidence-Based Practices: Our integration of mindfulness and movement is backed by scientific research, reflecting findings that mind-body practices support brain development and neurophysiological regulation. This is essential for countering the effects of chronic stress and trauma.
Holistic Observation: We provide observational assessments when our programs run for longer than four weeks, this time allows our facilitators to build relationships with students to understand their individual needs.
We utilize the DESSA to track behavioral observations throughout our time with students to measure improvements.
For shorter assignments, we utilize the 100 Million Lives survey to objectively measure program effectiveness and well-being at the start and end of our time with students.
Evaluation: Our data-driven approach ensures students are meeting specific SEL competencies, and bridges the support gap when students need extra help.
By evaluating students with the DESSA, we’re able not only track students' social-emotional growth, but we’re also able to identify which students may require additional support.
When a student’s DESSA score is in the “need” category, we work with them to develop Individual Regulation Plans (IRPs) to identify personal tools for managing behavior.
Celebration: Honoring student progress by sharing specific "wins" with families and teachers through our IRP snapshot worksheet and student postcards.
This practice reinforces positive behavior and ensures every student feels seen for their unique strengths, and their larger support system can aid them in this journey.
