Mindful Poetry Moments, incubated in partnership with The On Being Project, offers a chance to pause and reflect on poetry’s ability to encounter ourselves, the world, and the mystery of each other. This special collaboration began as a way to provide young students an opportunity to encounter poetry in the course of a normal school day during National Poetry Month and has expanded to reach poetry lovers of all ages.
In April 2022, Mindful Poetry Moments returned for its fourth year with four new selections from poets Alberto Ríos, Roshni Goyate, Brad Aaron Modlin and Manuel Iris. Each week participants were offered recordings of the poems read by The On Being Project’s Poetry Unbound podcast, Pádraig Ó Tuama or the poet themselves. Additionally, people from around the world gathered via zoom, to listen, contemplate and respond, together.
Thanks to The On Being Project we are able to continue offering this program for free!
Join a free virtual gathering where we listen, discuss and respond to a poem from On Being's Poetry Unbound Podcast. If you can't make it to the gathering, we record each one and share on this special playlist. REGISTER FOR AN UPCOMING VIRTUAL GATHERING.
