Mindful Poetry Moments Connects and Inspires Poetry Lovers Around the World
Mindful Poetry Moments, a collaboration between Mindful Music Moments and The On Being Project, offers a chance to pause and reflect on poetry’s ability to encounter ourselves, the world, and the mystery of each other. This special collaboration began as a way to provide young students an opportunity to encounter poetry in the course of a normal school day during National Poetry Month and has expanded to reach poetry lovers of all ages.
In April 2021, Mindful Poetry Moments returned for its third year with five new selections from poets Aracelis Girmay, Paul Tran, Philip Metres, Roger Robinson, and James Wright. Each week participants were offered recordings of the poems read by The On Being Project’s Poetry Unbound podcast, Pádraig Ó Tuama. Additionally, folx from around the world gathered via zoom, to listen, contemplate and respond, together.
Thanks to The On Being Project we are able to continue offering this program for free!
