Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.
The Well's programs combine best practices in arts and wellness and are designed in partnership with those they serve. How do we create our programs? In partnership with others and especially those we serve.

The Well's "Mindful Poetry Moments" program is set to release the 5th-Anniversary Edition of its annual anthology of poems written by youth and adults from around the world.
For five years now, Mindful Poetry Moments has attracted an international community of more than 100 poets and poetry lovers for weekly Zoom gatherings in April where we hold an opening meditation, contemplate a poem & writing prompt, have ten minutes to write, and share our writings with the group. Many of the poems in this collection were created in those brief yet profound ten minutes. Additionally, schools participating in The Well’s Mindful Music Moments and My True SELF programs submitted 60 poems by students– the most poems by youth we’ve ever received and published.
In total, this edition will premiere 112 new poetry works written by 33 different adults and 81 students (some writing collaboratively) from 17 US states, Great Britain, and Scotland.
This year's poems were graciously curated into the theme “Ways of Loving, Ways of Giving” by poet, translator, and educator Haleh Liza Gafori. Our deepest gratitude to Haleh and the inspiring facilitators she brought into our world this year.
Join us either virtually or in person at The Well for the book launch event featuring live readings by published poets on August 7, 6–8 pm EST.

Incubated in 2020 with The On Being Project, Mindful Poetry Moments offers a chance to pause and reflect on poetry’s ability to encounter ourselves, the world, and the mystery of each other. This special collaboration began as a way to provide young students an opportunity to encounter poetry in the course of a normal school day during National Poetry Month and has expanded to reach poetry lovers of all ages.
