Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.
The Well's programs combine best practices in arts and wellness and are designed in partnership with those they serve.
Today we kicked off our Mozart week with Eine kleine Nachtmusik. Before we started, I got to meet Micah Harper. Micah is Caelyn's brother.
Micah likes many things about AWL. He enjoys seeing everyone and having fun with his friends. He also likes the math stations (games) but wishes the teachers would move more quickly through the MATH (stations after math lessons, apparently.) He likes gym, music and the library.
His favorite food is brazil nuts, which I found a suprising favorite. Micah explained that he had a nut allergy but he no longer has it. He learned he can have nuts after passing a Food Challenge at the doctor's office. It sounds as though it was also a kind of game and the ever popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were involved. But Micah passed.
"Never give up!" he explained.
"Bigger, better, strong than ever!" Micah concluded.
We'd Love to Hear from You
