Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.
The Well's programs combine best practices in arts and wellness and are designed in partnership with those they serve.
How does your body feel when you’re stressed? What is a goal you have for yourself in the next 6-12 months? These are just some of the potent self-reflection questions young people are asked in The Well’s Job Readiness Training. The interactive workshop is the result of a partnership with Talbert House and Hamilton County Youth Employment. Teens in the program are taught holistic communication skills for the workplace-- focusing on what is expected of them, their own preferences, and how trauma and dysregulation may be affecting how they show up in the world.
In 2025, The Well engaged over 200 Cincinnati youth across 12 Job Readiness Trainings. Each participant is given a workbook containing information covered in the workshop, tools and techniques for stress-reduction, and self-reflection questions with space to explore their answers fully. Interactive elements, such as grounding meditations, energy-building movements, and peer-led mock interviews, serve as important elements in the sessions to help students integrate the information we share. These sessions are designed to act as a catalyst for self-discovery and personal growth, and our hope is that by the end of our sessions, students walk away with more tools in their toolbox to craft healthier and more embodied lives.
Our 2026 schedule currently includes 8 more Job Readiness Trainings slated for the spring, and we hope to bring this workshop to even more youth next year! If you are curious about this workshop and believe it could benefit teens in your organization, reach out to Sarah@thewell.world to get the conversation started.

Students conduct mock interviews with one-another during a JRT session.

Students are guided through a goal setting meditation to end each session.
