Mindful Music Moments

Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.

Last night, The Well's Founder & Executive Director Stacy Sims participated in an inspiring panel of 'Music and Mind' hosted by soprano and Arts & Health advocate Renée Fleming. Each presenter showed how listening to and creating music doesn't just feel good, but is fundamental to our brain development as children and is a low-cost, non-pharmaceutical way to relieve feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression and improve our long-term mental and emotional well-being.

Stacy presented about The Well's Mindful Music Moments program and the deep impact it's making for students here in Cincinnati and nationwide. It was great to hear and connect with our amazing local colleagues Betsey Nuseibeh, Donna Dirksing Doran, and Dr. Sian Cotton.

Thanks Dr. John & Susan Tew and the Cincinnati May Festival for making this important night possible.
