The Wellness Garden
The Wellness Garden by resident artist Julia O. Bianco needs you. Volunteer, donate, learn with us.
Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.
The Well's programs combine best practices in arts and wellness and are designed in partnership with those they serve. How do we create our programs? In partnership with others and especially those we serve.

In 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, a group of public-school girls in St. Croix, Virgin Islands got together to fundraise for headphones for their peers who were in need. They organized themselves under the name The St. Croix Public School Girls Squad and were able to raise $1,300 to donate 280 new headphones to their peers.
This year they have set their fundraising goals on getting Mindful Music Moments into all twelve public schools on the island of St. Croix. They have received the "green light" to implement MMM from their Deputy Superintendent and principles on the island, who are very excited about the program.
The girls are supported by a parent support group of five mothers who advise and chaperone the girls. They all have been hard at work fundraising with a lemonade stand to bring the calming ritual of Mindful Music to their peers in St. Croix. The St. Coix Public School Girls' Squad attends Pearl B. Larsen, Lew Muckle, and Ricardo Richards elementary schools. Pictured above are Norma Tyson, Nailah Addison, Vigga Tyson, Zuma Nisbett, Makayla Walcot and Ma'at Manuel. Not pictured are Jade Browne and Jaylissa Browne.
If you would like to support their efforts, you can donate here with "St. Croix Support" in the message.
