Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.
The Well's programs combine best practices in arts and wellness and are designed in partnership with those they serve.
Listen and join this relaxed, supportive collaborative musical space!
Ambient Jam is a free community gathering facilitated by members of Innerspace Collective for creating relaxing, ambient sounds in a supportive, judgment-free, and collaborative space. Inspired by the practice of deep listening and artists like John Cage and Brian Eno, participants are invited to explore gentle sounds through play and presence—no musical experience needed. Guests are welcome to join in or simply listen.
Chairs, mats, and cushions will be provided. All are welcome.
What to Bring:
An instrument or sound-making object of your choice, or simply your own voice. Limited electric outlets are available, but please bring your own extension cords or power strips. Acoustic instruments are great too! Please note the intention to create relaxing, ambient music and sounds.
Parking:
There is both metered and free street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Gilbert Ave, E McMillan, Curtis St, and Copelen St are all the closest street parking options. Metered parking is FREE for this event.
There are three paid parking lots (marked in the red squares on the image below) at the Hannan ArtPark, by ETC Produce, and at ABM Parking lot by PNC Bank that are a short walk from the building.
