Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.
The Well's programs combine best practices in arts and wellness and are designed in partnership with those they serve.
Free book club at The Well's space in Walnut Hills!
Join The Well in their new Walnut Hills space for a free book club. Meet for an approachable dive into a book, discussing a highlighted and provided selection (in case you can't read the entire book) while also learning and exploring somatic practices inspired by the book.
For our second session, Certified Mindfulness Teacher & Consultant Brooke Thomas has selected Rest is Resistance by Tricia Hersey. Tricia Hersey defines rest as any practice that connects mind and body. Together, through our practice of rest, through sensing, noticing, and sharing in community, we'll process the concept of rest as a radical form of resistance, of power, and of collective liberation. Periods of meditation, selected readings, gentle movement, somatic expression, and journaling will guide our compassionate exploration.
Sunday, October 26th, 3:00-4:30pm. Free.
