SXSW EDU here we come!
The Well's Youth Cartography Fellows will present a workshop at the prestigious SXSW EDU.
Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.
The Well's programs combine best practices in arts and wellness and are designed in partnership with those they serve.
Created during The Well's True Body Project youth apprenticeship in collaboration with 1001 Colors and FotoFocus in summer 2026. Project led by filmmaker Andrea Sisson.
*In three whimsical parallel worlds, three individuals seek employment in a field based on their passions. One thinks slowly, one fast, and one backwards. When their ambitions are tempered by practicality, they each face unique difficulties in their menial jobs as their inner world clashes with the one surrounding them. How does one cope with a world fundamentally alien? And if they can make a change, are they destined to create the same system again, as if time were a circle? Inspired by Alan Lightman's novel "Einstein's Dreams."
Originally presented as a three-screen installation at The Well, October 1–31, 2026, as part of the 2026 FotoFocus Biennial.
