Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.
The Well's programs combine best practices in arts and wellness and are designed in partnership with those they serve. How do we create our programs? In partnership with others and especially those we serve.

Mindful Music Moments works in collaboration with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and Meow Wolf's Omega Mart, with funding from The Big Idea Challenge to bring a daily ritual of mindfulness and world-class music into the school day for PreK-12 schools in Nevada. Thanks to a generous gift, we are able to offer Mindful Music to all Preschools and K-12 schools in Nevada for free for 2023-24!

Incorporating [Mindful Music Moments] into our routine gave us the opportunity to MAKE TIME to be mindful. We learned how to be mindful through the music and breathing techniques. I saw children feel the music in their own ways - some would close eyes, some would focus out the window, while others would move their bodies calmly to the music in their chairs.
Sara Fenton, Teacher, Monroe Primary School
I just tried the first mindful moment offered on the website with a Kindergarten class. What a huge difference it made!
I see students for 50-minute timeblocks, and their classroom teacher drops off the students at my door. One of the students was crying on the way over, and his teacher told me he had been crying all morning, hiding under tables, and not listening to any instructions. So, I decided to use the new resource that had been provided to me. Immediately the student started calming down, and by the end of the exercise he was not crying at all, ready to learn. As for the rest of the class, they were focused in a way I have not seen from these young Kindergartners.
I've always enjoyed meditation and mindfulness for myself, but I've never found an accessible way to teach it for younger students. This was a wonderful experience. I already shared it with that teacher, and will be sharing it with the rest of the school per my principal's permission.
