True Body, New Year: Come to Your Senses in Costa Rica
Dec. 27, 2021 - Jan 3, 2022
Seven nights and glorious days to come to our senses together in Costa Rica. Eco-luxury, plant-based cuisine, dry campus, waterfall "classes," indigenous cacao ceremony, fire circles, ocean play, mindfulness, movement, and connection. All at the gorgeous Imiloa Institute.
Living in these human bodies can be complicated business! Often, we are unaware of how habituated stress patterns in our bodies create physical, mental, and emotional limits. This True Body Project experience will give you simple practices to “come to your senses” to feel connected, rejuvenated, and ready for the year to come.
What does this mean for you? It means that you will engage in simple, guided exercises to begin to understand a little more precisely your own embodied patterns of constriction (and how these postural/internal constrictions link to thoughts and emotions.) This will also you to practice body-based resourcing for greater ease and flow in all things.
The tools we use in this light-hearted, deep work include guided meditations, conversations, movement (think Yoga, Pilates, postural awareness – no experience required and/or masters welcome!), and sensory play. You will learn about Somatics, trauma, and the intersectional nature of healing for self/community. The “work” of the week will be far more experiential than “heady.”
