Imagine an entire school – students, teachers, and administrators – taking time each morning to turn inward together, and listen to a brief mindfulness prompt and world-class music.
The Well's programs combine best practices in arts and wellness and are designed in partnership with those they serve. How do we create our programs? In partnership with others and especially those we serve.

Body-centered movement and somatic practices for all
Based on wisdom of The Well's first program, True Body Project, Soma Sundays involves movement, postural and body-first practices out of multiple traditions, but with particular emphasis on what the field now calls "Somatic" practices ... the way that you and only you have a direct and powerful relationship to the sensations of being human in YOUR body.
Every Sunday, a new practitioner will lead somatic exercises to encourage mind-body connection in order to help you survey your internal self and listen to signals from your body on pain, discomfort, or imbalance in order to allow for rebalancing and ease. Our bodies are so wise so this class will allow our somas time to reset while we peacefully observe the process and sensations of wellness.
We're looking forward to moving, breathing, and connecting with you soon.
This Sunday...
Join Brooke for Embodied Awareness & Mindful Movement. Brooke creates a compassionate environment that invites us to slow down and rest in a felt sense of being. Through guided meditation and movement inspired by Qigong, the mind has permission to rest as the body moves and guides the way.

About the Practitioner
Brooke is an educator, meditator, Qigong practitioner, hiker, and lover of nature and the human spirit. As a True Body Project facilitator at The Well and a trained mindfulness meditation teacher, Brooke considers the practice of mindfulness an exercise in being human, one that is accessible to all at any moment. In her personal practice and in her guidance, she explores compassionate embodied awareness and connection through laying down, seated, standing, or walking meditation, mindful movement, and nature-inspired practices. Having struggled with chronic illnesses throughout her life, she offers a variety of tools to support people of all abilities and backgrounds in developing their own sustainable practice that is simple, playful, and rooted in love.
We'd Love to Hear from You
