Join artist Rachel Linnemann and The Well for a community sculpture project and pie/recipe sharing experience.
Rachel shares, "find community connection through shared stories, shared recipes, and sharing pie. A physical sculpture will be made that symbolizes these community members and their stories. I am interested in knowing what recipes people treasure and who they would like to share these meals with. For me personally, pie instantly makes me think of family and home. Food is such a powerful tool that can express care, love, and heritage. My aim is to unify communities through this commonality of food, while celebrating our differences.
This event is inspired by my time at the Contemporary Arts Center where I was the Artist in Residence and built a sculpture titled: Gratitude Pie with the community members. Each object is representative of a community member and what gratitude means to them."
For this event, we will center stories of home, gratitude as recipes for connection.
